A Legacy of Legal Excellence

In March 2007, Pierre Retief commenced practising for his own account, specializing in Tax Law litigation and Conveyancing. His journey in law began with admission as an Attorney in 1996, followed by admission as a Conveyancer in 1998.
Pierre’s unique advantage comes from his tenure as a Legal Advisor at the South African Revenue Services (SARS) from 2001 to 2007. During this time, he worked on significant projects including Transfer Duty liability cases involving discretionary rights in property-owning trusts.
This insider experience at SARS, combined with an MCom Tax degree based on his work there, provides clients with unparalleled insight into tax administration processes and dispute resolution.
